In the middle of the rough Irish Sea lies the small and rainy Isle of Man. This Celtic nation is the homeland of the Manx cat, a breed known for its shortened (or altogether missing) tail. Ever the skilled hunters, Manx have been a historically preferred breed for ship’s cats.
With his strawberry blond coat, jade green eyes, and freckled nose, Murdock looks the part of a Celtic cat. But although the name Murdock is derived from an old Irish Gaelic word meaning “sea warrior,” our stumpy-tailed, buff boy has neither sailing experience nor a British passport. He was, however, born with Manx syndrome, a condition that causes bladder and bowel incontinence. Murdock needs to be manually expressed twice a day, but Tabby’s Place is always happy to teach adopters how to master this skill!
Friendly and affectionate, our Murdock gets along well with people and other felines. He would happily live as a solo kitty or in a home with other cats. Are you ready to set sail to Murdock’s Isle of Cat? Fill out an adoption application today!
