What’s hardy, resilient, and a perennial favorite? An herb, and a cat, named Sorrel!

Unlike her namesake, Sorrel isn’t sour – just a little skeptical of us humans. Tabby’s Place gathered Sorrel and many of her feline friends from a large outdoor colony, where she didn’t have much interaction with people. But Sorrel has planted herself firmly indoors, and is now happy to sit near us or gobble treats at our feet.

Sorrel tolerates petting while distracted by a delicious meal, but doesn’t love handling and may never be a lap cat. She’ll need an adopter who can respect her boundaries and work with her to build up her confidence. She likes other cats, and would do well in a multi-cat household.
