History of overstimulation and aggression

Who is the fluffy purring machine? It’s Alessia!

This long-haired beauty came to New Jersey from Lebanon after she was attacked by a dog. Like a true mother, Alessia fought the dog off to protect her kittens, a story so compelling that it made the news. Unfortunately, such a traumatic event left Alessia with a few behavioral quirks that require an experienced owner.

Alessia is very affectionate and loves attention, however, she also gets overstimulated easily. Give her too many pets and she can get overwhelmed, causing her to bite or scratch. For this reason, Alessia would prefer to be scratched on the head rather than receive full-body pets. But if her boundaries are respected, she will purr with persistence!

Alessia would love a home that will understand her signals and give her a break when she needs it. Treats serve as a great way to distract her, as this treat fiend will suck them up like a vacuum. As for her feelings on cats, Alessia would excel as an only cat because she is not the friendliest with other felines.
