Heart disease, hyperthyroidism

Like the loveliest time of the year, Mae has a way of making you feel like new beginnings are just around the corner.

Mae was already a senior when she came to us from another shelter, but she has the optimism of a kitten. While others may have given up after all those years of waiting, Mae blooms with hope. Step into her suite with a soft voice and a bouquet of patience, and Mae will be your friend for all seasons. Your tenderness is rewarded as she leans into your chin-skritches, purring like a springtime symphony.

Befitting a cat of her dignity, Mae has outgrown shenanigans in favor of a peaceful life. Once you’ve earned her trust, Granny Mae will greet you with the feline equivalent of home-baked cookies: eyes that light up as soon as you arrive, and ageless happiness as you pet her and promise her that love is here to stay. In soft shades of pumpkin, marshmallow, and maple syrup, our sweet girl is beautiful inside and out.

Mae enjoys generally good health. Like many senior cats, she is hyperthyroid, but this condition is easily managed with daily medication. Mae also gets along well with her feline friends, and would do well as an only cat or in a home with other laid back cats.

Could you be the dream worth Mae’s long wait? Fill out an application to meet our magnificent girl, and you may find that springtime lasts all year.
