Eira came to Tabby’s Place as a package deal. 

The snowy stray and her two tiny kittens, Lumi and Neige, faced the cruel possibility of a cold winter outside with nowhere to turn.  Devoted to her frightened babies, Eira cared for their every need as best she could.  With her indomitable spirit, she never gave up hope. 

Oh, what a miracle it was when the tiny trio arrived at Tabby’s Place! Little did Eira know how her family’s desperate situation was about to change.  Nutritious food and topflight medical care assured that little Lumi and Neige would grow up safe, strong and healthy.  Soon enough, they would find good homes, and then it was Eira’s turn to be treated like a cherished kitten. 

All white in color, Eira got her name from the Welsh word for snow. In Norse mythology, she is the goddess of health with the power to heal the sick. This stray mama snow angel will need a patient adopter – someone willing to take their time and let her get to know them slowly. She is friendly but guarded, a trait that served her well when protecting her girls in the outside world. Baby her.  Approach and love her slowly, and we are certain she’ll come out of her protective shell.
