Deaf, neurological disorder

They called her Lost, but they found a way to get her to Tabby’s Place, part of a coterie of cats from our friends at Animals Lebanon. They called her Lost, but she is destined to be found.

Her story begins in Lebanon, where she was found, abandoned, on the steps of a city clinic. Her hip was broken, and her neurological symptoms were puzzling. Perhaps her loud meow reverberated across the globe. Perhaps her gleaming peridot eyes emitted a beacon of light that could be seen all the way in Ringoes, NJ.

Today, Lost makes her presence known with a stream of squeaks, chirps, shouts, and songs. Is she looking for affection (cheek scritches, please)? Treats? Does she have a story to tell? For Lost, it’s all of the above and then some—she might even be trying to hear herself. This sweet tabico is mostly deaf, but her lack of hearing doesn’t prevent her from living her best life. It doesn’t prevent her from busying herself with biscuit-making. It doesn’t affect her regal demeanor or the aura of calm that radiates from her soft, tri-colored coat. (Was that a meow, or an om?) It doesn’t prevent her from endlessly expressing her gratitude for this new chance at life.

Despite her difficult beginnings, Lost has found serenity and a slew of admirers (both human and feline). Although she was once technically lost, she lives every newfound day as if it is her best ever. Navigating her new surroundings is still a little intimidating and Lost has her timid moments. But with the right home and a patient adopter, this young beauty will thrive. Will you be the one to guide her to a forever home, turning “Lost” into “Found”?
