Viktor’s early life has not be an easy one, but this handsome gentleman now enjoys plenty of spoiling and belly scratches here at our sanctuary!
In summer 2022, Viktor appeared on a local property and was following around another colony cat, Vixen, who seemed to be showing him the ropes by bringing him by for meals. Viktor always let her eat first, a true gentleman. What the colony caretaker didn’t know at first was that Vixen was sick and eventually passed away from cancer.
Even with the loss of his best friend, Viktor hung around and continued to be fed by the colony caretaker daily. One day, however, Viktor appeared with an eye injury that required medical attention. At that point, the caretaker made the decision to trap him and get him help for the eye.
Post-procedure, Viktor enjoyed the comfort of a foster home with his caretaker and his true personality and sweetness began to blossom. Once he allowed petting, Viktor realized how much he enjoyed it. After that, it was non-stop belly rubs. He would curl up on his foster’s lap and they would watch Netflix together for hours. All he needs in life is a warm, loving lap and a full food dish to be happy.
Here at our sanctuary, Viktor has settled right into his suite and has befriended felines and humans alike. Come for a visit and he might come on over and curl up at your feet, asking gently for love. This gentle boy can sometimes be a tad on the nervous site but there’s not a mean bone in his body. Viktor is love, fluffified.
Viktor is one of our resident diabetic cats. He receives twice daily insulin injections and our team keeps a close eye on his blood sugar. He is also on a special diet for some GI troubles. Viktor is looking for a special home that is able to accommodate his medical needs in exchange for oodles of love and cuddles!
