Calling all lover’s of squishy-cheeked, bunny-tailed tomcats! Colgate comes dressed to impress!
Colgate is a good-natured boy who is new to the indoor life. Colgate earned his name when, during his intake exam, he enjoyed being pet with a toothbrush. This chunky boy came to us as a TNR colony cat who needed a little extra love and attention before being able to return to his home. However, our staff quickly realized that he was not your typical feral and was fairly comfortable with people. After a period of behavioral evaluation, it become clear that Colgate deserved a chance at a safe indoor home.
Unlike most cats, Colgate doesn’t have much of a tail. He has an adorable little round stub that looks much more like a bunny tail than a cat tail. He was almost certainly born this way and it only adds to his adorableness.
While Colgate is a little on the reserved side, he has begun to become much more comfortable with people now that he is adjusting to his new suite. He enjoys getting his cheeks squished when you approach him gently and let him give you a good sniff first. He is a gentle-natured boy who is looking for a patient family that will give him some extra time and love to help him open up.
