Lucy Blue is a lucky girl.
We’re unsure of where Lucy Blue spent the first half of her life, but it all almost ended for her in another shelter. Poor Lucy unfortunately ended up on the euthanasia list of an underfunded, overcrowded shelter. Luckily, a good Samaritan reached out to us to plead her case to us, and we were able to take her in. We are so glad that she is now with us.
Lucy Blue was very scared and unhappy during her first few weeks with us, but she is beginning to warm up and show off her sweet side. The big lady needs a little reassurance that you mean her no harm, but once you sit with her for a little while, she will come out of her favorite safe spot and look for love. Lucy has a purr that is just about as loud as she is big, and at just over eighteen pounds, she is BIG indeed! Lucy loves pets and head scratches and will rub against your hands if you don’t pay attention to her. Her headbutts can be powerful as she doesn’t quite seem to understand her extravagant size, but she means no harm; she just wants more love.
Lucy Blue is an undeniably large cat who could definitely use a diet. Other than her weight, however, she is healthy. She simply needs an adopter who is willing to monitor her eating and exercise habits.
