Tripod

“It isn’t where you came from, it’s where you’re going that counts.” — Ella Fitzgerald

Auspiciously named after “America’s First Lady of Song,” Ella is, as they say in the entertainment biz, “a real trooper.” This beautiful torbie came to Tabby’s Place from animal control with life threatening injuries. Ella received intensive medical care in our hospital. Ultimately, the decision was made to amputate her badly mangled leg – thus her designation as a “tripod.”

Getting around on three wheels hasn’t diminished Ella in any way. She is a beautiful cat with gorgeous emerald eyes that bedazzle her many Tabby’s Place fans. Ella has a stunning, multicolored fur coat. She has a perky Steiff nose, just like the famous teddy bears. And she is equally soft and snuggly, if you approach her slowly. Ella is a girl who likes to be wooed and appreciates a gentle, unhurried courtship … if you’re a human, that is.

Not a fan of other cats, Ella is very self-protective around her fellow felines and would do better in a one-cat home. Billy Strahorn, one of her favorite jazz composers, says, “Ella is the boss lady. That’s all.” Yes, our Ella is number one. Can you make her the headliner of your home, the star attraction of your heart? Fill out an online adoption application today!
