Emie is a stunning girl. Her coat is predominantly black and orange tortoiseshell, but she does have a white patch on her neck and one white toe on her front left foot–too cute!

Sadly, Emie was surrendered, along with her best friend Mary, because their owner could no longer care for them. Because Emie lived in a home for so long, it’s been hard for her to make the transition to life here, so she tends to be a little standoffish when initially meeting someone. She warms up quickly though and can be very friendly and affectionate. According to her previous owner, Emie enjoys playing with balls and fur mice. In addition, she gets along beautifully with other cats; she especially loves her Mary.

We hope to soon see Emie adopted with Mary, but we know it will take a special person with a big heart to care for these girls as it will take time for them to become settled in a new home given all they’ve been through.
