Dahlia would like to bloom with you!
Dahlia was found one morning when a farmer went out to feed his barn cats and discovered one more. Poor little Dahlia didn’t have the skills to hunt and live outside and was looking for help. She was extremely underweight, dehydrated, and on the verge of starvation. Luckily, Dahlia found herself planted on the right farm. Recognizing that this new sprout needed help, the farmer brought her to Tabby’s Place for treatment.
When Dahlia arrived, she was under four pounds. She was weak, tired, sick, and hungry. She needed supportive care at the hospital in order to start feeling better. After she was well enough to leave the hospital, she went to a foster home to recover.
Dahlia is recovering very well from her ordeal. She still needs to put on some weight, but she is growing strong! She would love a home where she can be spoiled and get plenty of attention (and crunchies) as she continues to recover.
Now that she’s feeling better, she enjoys spending her days sprawled out in bed, cuddling with a human, or watching the world go by on a windowsill. Dahlia is a very confident cat who would love to be involved in whatever you are doing. She doesn’t believe that doors should be closed and will chat with you if there’s something she wants.
In terms of other cats, Dahlia isn’t the hugest fan. She would prefer to snuggle with people rather than other cats. Dahlia would prefer to be an only cat, but she doesn’t mind other cats as long as they give her some space.
