Skin condition (exfoliative dermatitis)

A life of adversity can be overcome in an instant with the help of a loving, kind and generous heart. Opening up and reaching out can begin a beautiful journey of hope.

There is no doubt about it: Chester has faced a challenging and difficult life. A member of an outdoor colony, this black and white gentleman came to Tabby’s Place quite skeptical of people. He’d been hurting for quite some time with a severe case of exfoliative dermatitis, and no one had come along to help him. Now on medication to treat his condition, Chester has improved dramatically since he’s been with us and the skin lesions on his face are healing with time.

Having lived outdoors for most of his life, Chester is still (understandably) a bit skeptical about people. He’s let a few Tabby’s Place volunteers pet him a little, but is still quite shy and prefers to keep to himself or hang out with his feline friends. He is eagerly awaiting a tender, patient adopter who understands that his life’s journey has been a hard one. Chester gets along well with other kitties and would do well in a multi-cat household.
