Dear Friends,

I hope your summer is off to a good start! It’s been very hot and humid here in central New Jersey, but that just means we keep the fun indoors.
I feel like a Rock Star! A couple of weeks ago, I had a special ice cream sundae named after me at an amazing local ice cream shop. The Berry-Licious Adventure Sundae (aptly named if you ask me) had berries and blue sprinkles. Yum!
I’m still growing like a weed in a rainstorm. Many of my friends have started calling me a teenager. I think that means I’ve outgrown my tiny, baby, kitten status. I’m still cute and energetic, and all I want to do is play with my people and cat friends.

I’ve really grown attached to my best friend and partner in crime, Colonel Peabody. He’s an excellent big brother and protector. If another cat tries to bully me, Peabody will defend me and wrestle the other cat away.
I love having a big brother here. We follow each other around, play together, and cook up all kinds of adventures. Plus, he’s paraplegic, so he gets me. We are two “Peas” in a pod.
When I’m not playing with Peabody, I’m chasing toys or people around the lobby. I have a TON of energy, and it’s not until I spend it all that I finally rest my head and nap.

The other day, I chased my correspondent throughout the lobby while we played. When she finally tired out, she gave me an electronic toy with a butterfly that flies and spins through the air. I chased that butterfly for 100 miles (okay, maybe less), enough to tire me out. Then I stretched out on my crinkly enrichment mat for some rest.
I’m happy to report that I’m fully recovered from all my surgeries. The challenges I faced over the last couple of months are all behind me. During that time, I got to spend time in the amazing homes of some very special people. I have never felt so loved and cared for.
In other health news, I’m currently under treatment for a urinary tract infection. I guess that’s not uncommon for cats like me. I’m also transitioning to a full urinary diet, now that I’m a big boy.
All the things that help improve my life—the specialists, the surgeries, the special diet, even the cute little diapers!—are made possible by you. Thanks for all your care, support, and love. My world is better because you’re in it.
XOXO,
Berry
