Dear Team Regina,
Regina George is such a competitor! Last month, she begrudgingly embraced Steven’s “Meow Madness” victory here at Tabby’s Place. She has decided to move forward and leave her disappointment in the dust. And there wasn’t a moment to lose!
Our precious prima donna set her sights on another much-anticipated event: high fashion’s spectacular annual gala at the Metropolitan Museum in New York. Tres chic and oh so couture, the Met Gala is an event for A-listers only, and Regina was determined to garner an invitation.
Making excellent use of her fabulous headshots and my letter-writing expertise, Regina reached out to Vogue’s high culture queen, Anna Wintour. Of course, you can’t look too eager or like you are begging for an invitation, so we took a somewhat low-key approach … and voila! Regina had New York in her sights!
Ahhhh … but what to wear? Touring each suite at Tabby’s Place, Regina reached out to every cat for style ideas. And what high fashion designer should she choose: Christian Siriano, Donatella Versace, Georgina Chapman? Of course, each cat had definite opinions, especially Kitty Purry and Leonardo Di Catrio.
Ultimately, the decision was Regina’s alone. From her solarium, she gazed pensively toward New York, searching for inspiration. Every cat and kitten mewed and meowed in hushed tones. Staff and volunteers tiptoed past her suite as she plotted a winning fashion ploy and dreamed grand dreams of her Met Gala entrance.
Would she take the fashion world by storm by introducing an unknown — her very own “skoot skirt” designer? Would she suit herself in an avant-garde dress tuxedo or adapt her signature halter look? Or would she surprise us all, and do something so daring that we might not even recognize her?
Well, I couldn’t get her to reveal her secret choices in time to make them into this letter – so you’re going to have to wait until next month!
Meanwhile, far from Manhattan’s glamour, Regina is thriving here in rural Ringoes. As noted above, she’s welcomed two new neighbors, Kitty and Leonardo. This dear, timid duo came to us from a public shelter, and they are settling into the sunshine and splendors of Suite G.
You will be proud to know that Regina is a gracious hostess to these new arrivals, welcoming them with curiosity while giving them the space they need to make themselves at home. Like Regina, Leo and Kitty are both quite young, so there may be some frolicking together in their future. And, thanks to you, Regina is free of any medical issues that would interfere with frolicking or fashion!
