Dear Team Regina,
Please allow me to introduce myself: My name is Tina and I have been volunteering with Tabby’s Place for a long time and have made many wonderful friends with staff and other volunteers, serving the special needs of thousands of cats. There is nary a task at Tabby’s Place I have not performed, but my first love is outreach—writing adoption profiles and sponsor letters. Helping find happy homes for some of our residents, while communicating with sponsors of cats who sometimes live their entire lives at Tabby’s Place, is my true passion. I also have six cats of my own.
I can’t begin to tell you how excited I am to introduce a new Tabby’s Place resident—Regina—to you, her growing family of generous sponsors. There is something genuinely remarkable and special about this little girl! As Leonardo Da Vinci once said, “The smallest feline is a masterpiece,” and this petite pale gray-and-white kitty cat is beautiful in body, mind, and spirit.

Regina came to us from another shelter unable to accommodate her special needs. Both a paraplegic and FeLV+ cat, she had little cause for hope of surviving outside our doors. Yet, here at Tabby’s Place, with an expanding list of fans and sponsors, she is thriving. Shortly after her arrival, Regina developed a small mass and, frankly, we were very worried about her future. Our hopes and prayers were answered when a biopsy proved it to be a benign, fatty cyst. We breathed a collective deep sigh of relief at such joyful lab results. Certainly, we will keep an eye on it as we continue to provide her with stellar Tabby’s Place medical care.
Regina actively enjoys observing all the antics of the other cats in her suite. And, as far as we can tell, they adore her as much as we humans do. A loving, little “purr machine,” Regina likes to snuggle up in her blankets and lick your fingers tenderly. And a mini meow from this regal princess is like a gentle massage for your heart.

We’re all rooting for this impish little feline to have a happy, healthy life. Her cheerful embrace of the hardships and handicaps she faces is truly inspiring and her spirit is indefatigable. She is a real fighter, and the tale of her resilience has made a poignant impact on sponsors and donors across several continents.
Regina’s “miracle story” is rapidly spreading. We are very pleased you will be a part of it.
Your correspondent,
Tina
