Charles Dickens once wrote, “What greater gift than the love of a cat?” In our heart of hearts, we’re certain the great bard was thinking about an old-fashioned cat just like Henrietta.

One of two sisters who came to us from a feral colony, Henrietta is the embodiment of love in all its furry forms. Much like her sibling, Sadie, this delightful little tortie is sweetly reserved and a bit on the timid side. She knows what she likes and who she likes … and when she finds it, the “purrfest” begins. Most comfortable in a quiet corner or on a lap blanket, Henrietta adores being doted on thoroughly and generously returns her affection. Tenacious head butts and tender love pats await the lucky person who takes Henrietta home.

While Henrietta and her sister are close, they are also very independent. An adopter willing to take both girls would be terrific, but each of these lovely ladies is very happy being the sole center of attention. These girls like each other, but they are a bit intimidated by other “too friendly” cats. We believe each would do best in a one cat home unless, of course, you want to shower your love on the pair. A home with children may not be the best match for either of these pretty girls – they require a soft, slow and gentle world in a more mature environment. Once there, alone or together, we’re sure each will thrive.
