Ivan has been with us since December, 2010. It’s 3/22/11 as I write this, but there’s been good reason for the delay in putting him online. Ivan was found in NYC when he was about 6 weeks old, being attacked by some adult cats. He had a broken pelvis, a broken femoral head, and ringworm, and he was starving. He’s been on cage rest for months, but that’s worked wonders for his broken pelvis. Because ringworm in kittens is notoriously difficult to get rid of, he was also in treatment for that for a long time, but it has finally cleared up completely.

At about 5 months of age (we estimate he was born on or about 10/13/10), Ivan is a handsome black-and-white “teenager”, with a perfect round freckle of black on his nose. He loves to play and is very sweet with people (one staffer says he likes to sit on her shoulder). However, because he has spent so much of his young life in a cage, he can be easily startled by sudden noises or movements. We think that once he gets used to living around people and other cats, he’ll calm down greatly.
