Update for the Kitten Fund

Yeti (white and grey) and Sasquatch (grey)

Greetings, Dear Sponsors of the Kitten Fund,

May seems to have come and gone in the blink of an eye, at least here at Tabby’s Place. Part of the reason for that is because we’ve had so many new cats and kittens! We’ve received a few more litters and two single kittens in the past few weeks of June, but you’ll hear more about them in the next update!

Guppy, the mini house panther

Yeti and Sasquatch, born to their mother “Nessy” on Mother’s Day, are doing well. Yeti had a scare where he suddenly began to shake, but luckily he was in foster with one of our vet techs. Both little “cryptids” are over a month old and beginning to explore the world around them.

The fish clan kittens and their moms are doing well! All of the kittens except Ramekin and Guppy have been adopted and mom Mahi Mahi also found an adoring home! Guppy and mom Arowana are ready for their own homes, but Ramekin is still not quite ready for adoption. Ramekin is still undersized for his age and has had some chronic issues with passing stool. We have been hoping he will grow out of it, but he continues to be unable to go #2. He continues to stay in foster with one of our experienced staff members.

Elliot is always in a good mood

Elliot continues to do well and be in good health. He does not use the litter box for stool regularly and unfortunately, we predict this will be a lifelong challenge for him. Nonetheless, he is always in good spirits and loves playtime and snuggles with people. Now that his suite is much quieter, Elliot spends more time out and about.

Lemon recently got a CT scan to take a look at what has been causing her constant snuffliness and congestion. The scan showed she has a narrowing in the back of her nasal cavity that cannot be fixed using the usual interventions. The specialist was about to “balloon” the affected area and Lemon will be started on a course of medication in the hopes to help open up the passage.

The Perpetual Tilt of Lemon is finally explained!

J’Happy and Mr. Thief are in good health and good spirits. They two enjoy being on their own in what was used as our Feral Room. They are being trained to use an exercise wheel to get out some of their boundless energy! They need tons of mental stimulation and playtime. We are hoping to find the two a good home but understand that their behavioral needs are a little complex.
