Update for Shifty

Hello, Fans of Shifty!

I am happy to report that our fine fellow is getting ready to enjoy the blessings of the holiday season.

He is in good health, and his spirits are somewhat feisty.

Shifty was noted to have made a “sneak-attack” on his lovely roommate Samantha’s lunch recently. Samantha was taking a break from her meal, just to stretch her legs. Was she going to go back to it after a litter-box break? Or was she done eating?  Our pal Shifty gave her little chance for consideration, as he swooped down on that plate and began to enjoy her leftovers.

Samantha was NOT happy for the interruption, and she let Shifty know in no uncertain terms. He hustled off; the scolding was understood.

But when it comes to non-feline company, Shifty continues to enjoy staff and volunteers, old and new. He makes friends easily, and new members of our Tabby’s Place family are drawn to the handsome cat with the big, curious eyes. Shifty’s smile is contagious; you cannot help but smile back at him. He sits contentedly for love-pats and enjoys having his gray coat smoothed over with your hand.

But when all is said and done, and snack time is over, siesta is still his favorite time of day.  The latest Amazon box with a blanket will do just fine, thank you. So will the special perch on the cat tree that he claims as his very own.

As he dreams the sweetest of dreams, I would like to take this chance to thank you for your faithfulness to Shifty. Your kindness, love, and affection touch our hearts at Tabby’s Place every day. We could not do what we do without your generous donations. As I watch Shifty rest, I know this for sure:  he knows he is loved.  At this holiday season, is there any greater gift?

Thank you for the pleasure of sharing the joys of Shifty with you each month. I wish you a safe, healthy holiday season.

Kim
