Update for Olive

Update for Olive

Greetings, Olive Lovers!

It’s time for another update on our feisty little one. As usual, I’ll give the medical news first.

Olive continues to demonstrate feline superiority in outwitting the humans around her. Over the past month, she was dealing with too much constipation and stools that were too firm, and so she was started on a daily stool softener. If you’ve been following Olive’s story for any length of time, you know how she’ll sometimes willingly take her meds if they’re hidden in a pill pocket.

Unfortunately, the stool softener medication is on the larger side and harder to disguise in a pill pocket, so Olive got wise to this new twist in her daily regime almost immediately, eating the pill pocket but not the medication. Oh, dear! The staff is managing to get this medication into her, but she’s not making it easy. Don’t be fooled by any photo you see of her looking innocent!

Olive continues to enjoy looking out the front door of Tabby’s Place, especially when the wind is blowing. She becomes terribly excited by snowflakes rushing by. And nothing makes our little girl happier than a fallen leaf finding its way into the lobby, where she can stalk it, pounce on it, and, having subdued such a mighty enemy, munch on it.

Olive took advantage of napping on the ‘big bed’ that we have in the lobby now. You can see she is quite comfy and has it all to herself (at this moment, anyway).

Olive on the big bed!

We treasure Olive, and we’d love to find an adopter who feels the same way about her.

Until that happens, your generosity helps us to keep her well cared for and spunky. Thank you!
