Update for Newman

Happy July, wonderful Newman adorers!

How fitting to be celebrating our independence with one of the most independent creatures in the world! What an exciting 4th it was at Tabby’s Place. It was very lively here, with dozens of volunteers to help do the daily duties so that all could enjoy a little holiday time to relax. Newman and I had a lot of time to catch up. We relaxed, played, and had a thoroughly enjoyable grooming session. He is just SO handsome.

Suite-mate Toby was up for some play time too. He wasn’t going to just sit around and watch all the fun. Sometimes they even tugged back and forth on the same toy! Neither of them minded, and they were happy to share.

My usual visits are apparently during nap time at Tabby’s Place, because it’s frequently hard to stir up any ambition with the gang. However, this visit was in the morning, and there is much going on at this hour. It would be hard for even the most tired of fur babies to completely fall asleep.
But once tummies are fed, and all things are spic and span, there is rest for the weary.

Poor Newman has been on the receiving end of Nuttin’s post-Prozac rage. Fortunately, our gentle guy’s month has been mostly mellow otherwise. Newman’s diarrhea seems to have improved, so we’ve discontinued his amino acid supplement and decreased one of his medications. We’ll be continuing Newman’s weekly stool checks, for which we crate him overnight.

Thank you for your generous support and for caring for Newman.
Enjoy the summer, stay cool, and be well.
