Update for Jude

Dear Jude Friend,

Jude had a very good month:  she only had 3 seizures!  This is a great month for Jude and the lowest amount of seizures she has had in a long time. All three seizures only lasted a few seconds, and none of them required rescue medication.

Jude was very content and happy this month and has enjoyed this easy month. She has been able to relax in a comfy bed or take a nap in a sunbeam. It is great to see her so relaxed and content.

With the warm weather we have been having, I’ve been able to open the windows in Jude’s room and let her enjoy the beautiful spring breeze. She lifts her little head towards the breeze, closes her eyes, and just enjoys the breeze on her face.

I am fostering some bottle baby kittens at the moment, and they are in a small pen in Jude’s room. Whenever I bring them out to feed them they make tiny little kitten meows, and Jude is fascinated. Jude can’t see well, but there is nothing wrong with her hearing, so she listens intently. Whenever the babies make sounds, Jude sits straight up and tilts her head from side to side, obviously very interested in the tiny sounds. The kittens have not yet been tested for diseases (they are too small), so I won’t let them near Jude.  But she seems content just to listen to their tiny meows.

Jude is also getting along well with Luvs (Jude’s mini-me), and I have found them taking a nap together a few times. Luvs is very calm and gentle around Jude, so Jude has no issues with her coming into her room for a visit.  When Luvs wants to play and wrestle she goes to find Kaipo, who will gladly play with her.

Jude and Luvs

Jude did need a few baths this month, mostly due to getting pee or poop on herself. She still hates getting a bath, but she always loves how clean she feels after a bath.

That’s all the Jude news for now. As always, thank you so much for your support of our little girl.
