Update for Cisco

Greetings Cisco Sponsors!

It has been busy here at Tabby’s Place. Over the past month, Cisco and company have bid adieu to two roommates…and welcomed one back. After nearly a decade at Tabby’s Place, gentle Mona was finally adopted. So was Rufus, after a much shorter stay. Alas, this latter adoption didn’t “stick,” and Rufus returned to us after just six days. It turns out his adopter was unprepared for Rufus’ unpredictable aggression. And so, Rufus is back with Cisco and his friends, now outfitted with an orange “caution” collar that warns all visitors of his aggression.

And just when things were about to quiet down, Cisco welcomed a new suitemate named Jax (pictured below). Jax is getting acclimated to the FIV suite. He is temporarily in a comfortable enclosure so that everyone can meet and greet without feeling threatened. He seems like a very sweet kitty, and one day soon will be exploring the suite and making it his own.

Other than witnessing these comings and goings, Cisco has had a mellow month. He can get pretty comfortable when he’s in one of his secure
spots. I was having a hard time finding him, since he was almost completely hidden. When I got up on my tippy toes, I could see our sweet boy peacefully sleeping. I couldn’t bear to disrupt his blissful state, so I
hung out with Wolfie, Rufus, Chachi and Wilbur. The rest of the gang was too comfortable to move!On the medical front, Cisco is doing very well.
Based on a review of his blood glucose levels, it seems his current insulin dose is working nicely, so we’ll continue that protocol.

Cisco, and all of us at Tabby’s Place, are filled with gratitude for your caring, love and generosity that make Cisco’s world a happy one. We could not do this without you! Have a happy and beautiful month!
