Update for Boobalah

Greetings Boobalah Friends,

Hello to all of Boobalah’s fans, and welcome to her new friends and supporters. For those of you who knew and loved Rose, Boobalah and she were lobby mates who shared a great love for all things human. Rose was a wonderful sweet girl, who was a long-time resident and recently succumbed to a long-term illness. She will be greatly missed.

Just last week, Boobalah greeted me from her new desk. She had to pack up her bed and blankets and haul them all across the lobby, away from the construction work that is in progress to connect the old and new buildings. The construction of Quinn’s Corner is coming along nicely and nearing completion, but there is still much to do at all the interface points between the two buildings. If you visit Tabby’s Place, and we surely wish you would, you will see that from the outside you would never know there was an addition.  The architect did a superb job of making it look like it was all there right from the beginning.

Tabby’s Place has a wonderful program called “Paws To Read“. Our sweet Boobalah participates in this program and goes on road trips to places like the local library.  This program is offered to bring together children who might not ordinarily be interested in reading, with kitties who are thrilled to have the company. Suddenly, the children are reading to the kitties and enjoying it. It’s truly amazing!

In medical news, Boobalah, once again, is having loose stools. All of her urinalysis rechecks look good. One day Boobalah was observed to be uninterested in lunch (so unlike Boo!). An exam by our medical team found no apparent reason for her inappetence, so maybe she was just having an off day. We all have those from time to time.

Soon we will be enjoying spring flowers and warmer weather. There will be lots to do. Enjoy the quietness of this time of year as the prospect of spring and longer days are just ahead of us.  Each new day brings Boobalah sunshine, warmth, snuggles, all the medical care she may need, and lots and lots of love. This is all thanks to you, dear Boobalah friends.

Wishing you a fabulous month…
