Update for Anka

Hello friends,

What a glorious prelude to spring! Sunny warm days mean I get to enjoy more time outdoors. I’m so appreciative of the volunteers that take me out in my little carriage. You can see my joy when the carriage comes out.

During a recent 70-degree day, my correspondent took me for a walk around the property, then we settled in a shady spot by some trees. I kept rubbing my face on the mesh of my carriage near my correspondent to show her how grateful I was. And she sang to me and told me a few stories. All the excitement wore me out, so when we got back inside, I scooted right to my bed without protest and took a sweet, long nap with dreams of spring flowers and butterflies.

There are a bunch of lucky cats that have traveled to their new home at Tabby’s Place all the way from Lebanon. One is a special needs cat named Cotton. Cotton is impossibly cute with the bluest eyes you’ll ever see. But, unless we’re talking about humans, I am not impressed with cute.

During one of Cotton’s first days out of his playpen, this innocent little fluff ball was scooting around making friends with all the other lobby cats, when I lured him over to my luxury accommodations and got him into a headlock. Two things happened as a result: (1) Cotton now takes a wide birth around my space, and (2) my behavior medication has been increased. The lovely Tabby’s Place staff has their fingers crossed this takes some of the edge off my attitude toward other felines.

Thank you for loving me just as I am—a big, handsome lover of the human species—and for your tremendous support. Sending you many kisses.

Love, Anka
(With help from your correspondent, Mary)
