Lucille

How do you describe a kitty who both is lovable and friendly? After all, every Tabby’s Place cat both lovable and friendly. But Lucille is more than that. Lucille absolutely adores people. If you pet her on the head, she will close her eyes, giving a look of extreme pleasure.

Lucille came to Tabby’s Place in 2015. Although it’s almost hard to believe, given her sweet and stately demeanor, Lady Lucille was actually a stray. When she arrived, she was severely underweight, anemic, and suffering from a terrible flea infestation (most likely the cause of her anemia).

With lots of love, tasty food and excellent vet care, Lucille’s weight and health rebounded beautifully. After spending a few months in one of our adoption rooms, Lucille moved to the lobby, where we can spoil her with treats, affection, treats, and “junk food.” Oh, and treats.

We believe Lady Lucille was born c. 2003, so she is a senior lady. Her only comment in response to that seems to be, “I am not elderly or old. I do not think like that. I do not like either of those words. I am 13+ years young.”

But, Lucille does have a few age-related medical issues. Our lady is living with early chronic kidney disease (not unusual for a cat of her age). Presently, the only treatment she needs for this is subcutaneous fluid treatment, twice each week.

Lucille also has hypertension (high blood pressure), which we’re treating with medication. Our vet team also checks Lucille’s blood pressure twice each week.

We hope that Lady Lucille will enchant the right adopter. In the meantime, she would love to welcome you to her world. She is a beautiful girl who craves attention. Please sponsor her. You could not ask for a more lovable girl to help. And, if you can visit Lucille, make sure you bring treats.
