Eartha

You could search the moon, scan the stars, and fly to the far reaches of the galaxy … but on all the planets, you would only find one Eartha.

With eyes full of stars, Eartha looks as though she just fell from heaven. Floating in her cloud of tuxedo fluff, she gazes at the world as though everything is new. You get the impression Eartha is astonished to be here.

She also happens to be intergalactically adorable. Eartha has been compared to a Muppet and a magical mop, with dainty folded ears and the tail of a celestial squirrel. When she takes off in full frolic, her cuteness sends everyone into orbit.

But hope was once a moonshot, beyond Eartha’s reach. She was born in war-torn Beirut, where the life of a street cat is precarious at best. To make matters worse, her little body roared with earthquakes. Eartha did her best to persevere, but seizures threw her to the ground helplessly.

Is there anywhere on this planet for a cat like Eartha?

Yes: at a little outpost of heaven called Tabby’s Place, everything orbits around cats in great need. Eartha landed safely in our love.

But safety was just the beginning of Eartha’s quest. With a rare seizure disorder, our shaggy sweetheart requires a meticulous protocol of medications, environmental modifications, and vigilant supervision. When Eartha does experience a seizure, our team leaps into action with rescue medication, while comforting her and keeping her from harm.

Two essential elements of Eartha’s care are dignity and respect. As huggable as she looks, Eartha does not appreciate physical touch. Stress can trigger a seizure, so it is of utmost importance that we honor Eartha’s boundaries and show our love through playtime and quiet nearness.

There are not many places on this planet for a cat like Eartha. But we love her to the moon and back, and we are honored to summon all the elements on her behalf.

If you have a heart as big as the sky, Eartha needs you. Your monthly donation will be like solid ground beneath her feet, providing the medical care and unconditional love she needs to thrive.

There’s only one Eartha, and there’s only one you … perhaps it was written in the stars.
