Gator

Other cats are calm as chamomile, but Gator is like your first sip of orange juice in the morning.

Dappled in the golden stripes of sunrise, our big tabby can’t wait to start the day’s adventures … and you’re invited.

Will it be a wild rumpus with the wand toy, as Gator flaunts his action hero moves? You have never seen a cat of such colossal size leap with the grace of a blubbery bronze ballerina.

Perhaps the morning calls for synchronized snoozing, as you loll and roll like walruses in Gator’s sunroom together. If you have yet to hear a purr that sounds like a giggle, get ready for Gator’s radiant rumble.

But if you really want to juice up Gator’s gladness, zip him into a stroller. The cat the color of the sun loves nothing more than its warmth in his whiskers, with you behind the wheel.

As you promenade Gator through our gardens, he’ll boast that he was the first cat to deliver himself to our door, showing up at Tabby’s Place like a fancy gift basket of oranges from a secret admirer. Gator notes that this was not just the best day of 2021. It was the best day in Tabby’s Place history.

Listen long enough, and Gator will tell you many things: he’s the feline answer to Matthew McConaughey, for instance, and his favorite movie is Shrek. He’ll even tell you that you’re delicious, which is why he won’t apologize for his tendency to bite.

Yes, Gator got his name for a reason. Our orange boy can be a bit citric. This has made him an “orange collar cat,” wearing the jaunty accessory that alerts visitors to his feisty side. But our Behavior Team works closely with Gator, and he promises he is making progress on his manners.

There’s only one thing Gator won’t tell you. He’s elderly. Extremely elderly.

Though he is as zesty as marmalade, Gator was born c. 2009, making him older than Instagram and LaCroix. Along the way, he’s acquired age-related issues, most notably heart disease. As rambunctious and robust as he looks, “grandpa” Gator needs tender care to thrive. (Insert details here.)

But with you by his side, Gator’s greatest days are still ahead. Your monthly donation will provide the medical care he needs to thrive. Each day, you’ll stroll him through his gardens and lavish him with love.

Our golden boy has a golden heart, and you can give him the golden years he deserves. Are you up for the grand adventure?
