Mrs. Jinx
What a sweetheart! Mrs. Jinx is a small, entirely black female, about 9 years of age. At first, she can seem shy, but she really enjoys attention from people. If you’re petting her and suddenly stop, she’s even been known to sit up on her hind legs or tap your arm with a front paw to ask for more love.
Mrs. Jinx has a lump removed from the back of her mouth before coming to Tabby’s Place. The area was deemed suspicious for cancer, but we’re not certain of that because no biopsy was done. This possibility is becoming increasing less likely with the passage of time. We have discovered that Jinx has stomatitis, an auto immune disease of the gums and lining of the mouth and throat. Her condition has been helped dramatically by the extraction of most of her teeth, but we are monitoring her mouth closely as her condition may flare up in the future.
Obviously, Mrs. Jinx is one of our Special Needs felines. She’s not a cat suited to every home, we know, but she’s so deserving that we continue to hope that someone with a very big heart will find our little girl as love-worthy as we have.
