Update for Taylor Ham

Dear Friends,

I hope you’re enjoying these last days of summer! From my vantage point—that is, from my usual sunny window in the Lounge—it’s starting to look more like autumn, with leaves already falling from the trees.

I love to watch the high-speed spin of the leaves as they twist through the air before they hit the ground. If I weren’t so lazy, I might be inclined to try to chase them. Hmmm, maybe if they were donuts or human lunches…

I’m happy to announce that Bernard has moved to the Lobby. While I’m a lover, not a fighter, he was not easy to get along with. I hold no grudges and wish him well in the Lobby, where he’ll join Rushi.

I prefer a firm pillow …

Just as Leo, Ruby, and I were doing our happy dance that Bernard had moved out of the Lounge, we were told we were getting another roommate, Winky. Winky is what they call an ‘Orange Color Cat’ here at Tabby’s Place. Orange Color means “proceed with caution.”

They say Winky can be sweet, but he may swat if he’s not in the mood for attention. More troubling, Winky does not like other cats. It seems we’ve got another Bernard on our hands/paws.

I’ll have to pour on the charm again and try to make the most of this situation. For now, Winky is acclimating by being in the staff shower room, where he watches us from the other side of the gate. I’m confident I can win him over. After all, I was able to make progress with Bernard (see video below).

Otherwise, I continue my professional lounging in the Lounge (so aptly named), in my sunny window, with my big belly usually facing out for sun rays and human pets. My health is good, and I’m a happy guy.

Sending you these updates brings me so much joy each month. I’m reminded once again what a dear friend you are to me. Thanks for your continued love and support. You mean everything to me.

Lots of love,
Taylor Ham
