Update for Taylor Ham

Dear Friends,

Happy almost-spring to my favorite humans! I had so much fun at last month’s Feline Valentine’s event and am happy that I got to meet some of you in person.

Most people who visited commented on how “chill” we kitties of the Lounge are. That’s true. As you well know, we are professional loungers.

It also happened to be the tail end of our Volunteer Appreciation Week, so the Lounge table was filled with sweets and treats for our amazing volunteers. Visitors were surprised to see so many sweets in the diabetic room! Unfortunately for us cats, the treats were boxed up, and we were mostly too lazy to seek them out anyway.

Baby, Leo, and I readily offered our bellies and chins for pets. A lovely visitor brought us a toy that made cricket sounds. I was so excited that I jumped down from my window seat and rolled around on the floor with my new toy. In a rare display, I really hammed it up to show my appreciation to these kind people.

This was followed by a Paws to Read event as part of Read Across America Day on March 1. Kind little humans arrived in droves to practice their reading skills with us cats. Oh, my cuteness! These tiny beings and their parents hold a special place in my heart.

The kind staff recently rechecked my front legs, and my skin looks great! I was taken off one of the two medications I was taking for my skin irritation. My lovable, abundant belly is continually on display, and my health is stellar.

There’s lots of sun that shines through my favorite window. This is where I spend 99% of my time. The early spring flowers are beginning to bloom, and they make me very happy.

I hope everything is blooming beautifully in your world. Your friendship and support mean the world to me. I’m deeply grateful for your love.

Lots of love,
Taylor Ham
