Dear Boobalah Family,

Boobalah is sending you a big smile from her heart to yours. She thanks you for loving her and caring so deeply about her. Luckily, she takes life one moment at a time, and for now, those moments are good.
I recently came to visit her at one of the best times of the day: mealtime! She was just getting her lunch delivered by one of our fabulous volunteers. She went at it with gusto. After all, she hadn’t had a thing to eat in a few hours. Shudder the thought!
Now, more than ever, Boobalah is being lavished with loads of love and gifts. A volunteer who works with Boo in the Aged To Purrfection Program brought some gifts to comfort her and to thank her for all she has done for others. The purple toy purrs when you squeeze it and seemed to have brought a smile to her face. She sure seems to be content, snuggled in amongst her gifts.
Tabby’s Place recently hosted a Paws To Read Across America Day with a special visit by the Cat in the Hat. Boo loves when the children come to read to her. She adores them, and they adore her. She was thrilled to strut her stuff with the Cat in the Hat!
As you know, medically, our sweet Boobalah has a lot going on. Her urinary tract infection (UTI) did clear up, so that may be making her a little more comfortable. She has been started on a medication to help with her pulmonary edema (fluid in the lungs), and we continue to drain fluid from her abdomen as needed.

She is happily accepting and enjoying oodles of love. Everyone who knows Boobalah understands that she is one of the sweetest cats to have ever joined the Tabby’s Place family, and we are all devastated by her diagnosis. We are cherishing her every minute, every hour, every day.
Your love for her is immeasurable, and your devotion to her is the best gift she could ever ask for. You stand by her no matter what. This is what families do, both in good times and more difficult times. She feels the strength of your love. It surrounds her, warms her, nurtures her, and comforts her.
Thank you for being by her side now and always.
Your correspondent,
Donna
