Update for Jude

Update for Jude

Dear Jude Friend,

I am very sorry for not being able to send Jude’s update last month. My father passed away, and I had to travel to England. I made sure Jude had the best care possible while I was away. My partner was home with her the whole time, and one of our vet techs came to my house twice a day to take care of Jude’s medical needs (as well as my other cats). My partner can be the regular, daily care with no problems, and even knows what to do during a seizure, but cannot express her bladder and bowels.

I was in England for a week, and Jude had no issues while I was gone. I do worry about her, though, when I’m not home.

Jude had a good month, and enjoyed basking in sunbeams whenever she could. And, of course, eating (Jude’s favorite activity)! Jude often takes a nap close to her food bowl, so she can have a snack when she wakes up.

Jude had 7 seizures this month, which is pretty typical for her. Two of them were more violent, but the others were pretty mild.

Jude has also not needed as many baths lately. She has been staying cleaner the last few weeks, and has only needed about one bath a week. She tends to get food stuck to herself, so does need the occasional bath.

Jude has been helping me foster a few kittens lately. We are in full kitten season swing right now, so most of our staff, and some of our volunteers, are fostering the little ones.  Jude loves the baby kittens, and loves listening to their little meows. She doesn’t like them as much once they are crazy, hyper kittens, but the small babies are good with Jude.

That’s all the Jude news for now. Thank you so much for your support of our wonderful girl, as we couldn’t do it without you.

Your correspondent,
Karina
