Greetings, Dear Sponsors!
Here we are, already welcoming in September and all that it brings us. There have been hints that fall is on its way to us; a few days of crisp, refreshing air and the kitties needing an extra blanket or two. But lest we forget it’s still summer, that was short-lived and we are back to what the cats like best: sunshine, heat, and humidity. Well, they may not be huge fans of humidity, but they happily accept it.
Last month I told you about Boobalah’s new friend Stewart, who joined her in the Aged to Purrfection program. Stewart did really well in the program (of course, he had the best role model, our sweet Boo). In one of the speediest adoptions ever, Stewart was whisked away by amazing and pawsome adopters. We miss him something awful and wish him his best life with all that he could possibly want, and oodles of love and snuggles.

On my last visit, I was so lucky to get some cherished Boobalah time. She was resting on a chair but not yet sleeping, just taking in the comings and goings of the Lobby. She quickly jumped at the offer of my lap. I was trying to not be in the picture and I mostly succeeded. She got extremely comfortable and we had a nice, leisurely time getting caught up.
She’s usually busy eating or napping when I finish up for the day, so I was delighted to find her just taking in all that the Lobby has to offer. And sometimes there is quite a bit, especially in the afternoon during visiting hours. She also has a new buddy, Smokey, and they share lots of snuggle time together. Smokey is a sweet boy from Virginia who, after being loved, suddenly found himself lost. But lost he is no more, and we are ecstatic that he found his way here to us. He will surely find that there is an infinite amount of love to be shared and an abundance of snuggles.
In medical news, Boobalah was treated for a urinary tract infection (UTI). She came off her antibiotics and almost immediately started showing signs of another UTI. Still, she remains in good spirits.

Dear sponsors, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your love and devotion to Boobalah and to Tabby’s Place. Tabby’s Place is a very special place where kitties with special needs are embraced, loved, and cherished. Your support helps make this miracle possible.
Have a beautiful month!
