Dear Jude Friend,
Jude had a mostly good month.
She did have one bad night a few days ago. Our poor little Jude had terrible diarrhea, and was also vomiting a few times. It started around midnight with some vomiting. I got her cleaned up, and changed her bedding.
Around 1am, it got really bad. She was leaking diarrhea faster than I could clean up. Around 3am Jude had to take a bath; she was a mess!
I just sat watching her all night. I was concerned she would vomit and choke on it. The few times she had vomited, she had her head back, and I had to quickly clean it off her face. Luckily, there wasn’t any more vomiting. The diarrhea, however, continued for the following 24 hours. She had several baths during that time.
By the following day, Jude was back to normal, and feeling good again. I was so relieved. I don’t like it when our little Jude doesn’t feel well.
Jude had 8 seizures this month, which is pretty typical for her. She also had one episode of focal seizures, which only lasted a few minutes.
Other than the one bad night, Jude had a good month. She enjoyed lots of good food and treats, and enjoyed napping in a sunbeam. She also spent time with her brother, Warren. These two have such a good relationship.
One of Warren’s favorite toys is a crinkle ball, which was always Jude’s favorite too, because she can hear where it is. Jude watches, and listens while Warren throws the crinkle ball around, occasionally smacking it, if it comes close to her.
Since you are one of Jude’s best friends, you should know what her nickname(s) are at home. It started out when she was a baby, and we would call her Zuggy (because she’s so, well…zuggy!). That became Zuggy Jude, or Zuggy J (her rap name), or sometimes just Zug. Just wanted to share that with you.
That’s all the Zuggy news for now. As always, thank you so much for everything you do for our little girl. We appreciate you so much.
Your correspondent,
Karina
