Update for Taylor Ham

Hello, Friends!

Happy New Year! I started the year by putting my recent stroller training to good use. I visited a nursing home as part of the Tabby’s Place Aged to Purrfection program, and I made some new senior friends. This was the highlight of my month.

Winky camouflaging as a box of human treats

I was so excited about my new friends that, when we got back to the Lounge, I jumped out of my carrier. Let’s just say that the belief that cats always land on their feet is not 100% true. I’m okay after my tumble, but I was quite shaken and more than a little embarrassed.

Baby and I have a new roommate, Winky. We all love food, so it’s fitting that our home is the Employee/Volunteer Lounge, surrounded by human food! A new roomie means another cat food dish to raid; however, Winky doesn’t seem to appreciate my enthusiasm for going into his crate to snack on his remaining food.

With Fenek gone, there are fewer lunch leftovers for Baby and me. This has made us ‘hangry’ by mid-day, so the kind staff is now providing us with kibble at lunchtime and our spirits are much brighter. Of course, this does not stop me from circling the staff lunch table to check for unattended and forbidden snacks. Hope springs eternal …😊

Ahem … my food bowl is empty!

My health is good, and the medical team said my mouth looks great after a recent checkup. I’m healthy, happy, and so incredibly grateful to have you in my life. Sending you lots of love and furry hugs.

XOXO,
Taylor Ham
