Update for Lester

Dear friends,

We’ve had quite a few changes in the FIV+ Suite lately. In addition to sweet Mona‘s adoption, then Rufus‘ coming, then going, then coming back again, we said our goodbyes to McNulty, who lost his long battle with kidney disease last month. After this devastating loss, we welcomed a new roommate, Jax, who was quickly adopted by the animal control officer who first rescued him.

There’s a rumor that we’re getting another new roommate soon. We’re all excited to meet the new kitty on the block. Is it a he or a she? Will they cuddle and console us, like Mona did? Will they compete for attention, like McNulty used to? Will he or she bring out my old brawling ways? So many questions. Guess we’ll just have to wait and see.

It seems we’ve found the ‘winner, winner, chicken dinner!’ of prescription food for me. The kind staff has found a diet that I enjoy and that also keeps my embarrassing diarrhea issue at bay. My weight is now stable, and I feel and look as good as ever.

I heard that Tabby’s Place recently held their annual Volunteer Appreciation Picnic at a nearby park. That means most of my favorite people were all gathered in one place celebrating each other and having fun, and this warms my heart.

Sending you lots of hugs and kisses for all your continued support.

Lots of love,

Lester
