Warm August Greetings to You, Dear Friend of Bacon!
Exciting things are happening at Tabby’s Place as parking areas expand and foundations appear. But tucked away in the safety of his daytime enclosure, Bacon is oblivious to what is going on outside. He is out and about at night when the grounds are quiet.
It hasn’t been an easy month for our gray tabby amigo. As his sponsor, you’re aware that his neurological condition is unpredictable. He’s had several days this month with multiple, violent seizures, and has even had difficulty keeping down his favorite breakfast of Fancy Feast Savory Centers. That can be a problem when the food serves not only for nutrition but also as a hiding place for his medication. That makes his morning meal just that much more essential.

Naturally, everyone is concerned about this recent alteration in his seizure pattern, and he’s being watched carefully. While nothing is life-threatening and Bacon recovers from each event without complication, it’s still making life challenging for Bacon while at the same time keeping everyone guessing. If need be, he’ll have an appointment set up with his veterinary neurologist. Of course, that kind of medical care can be costly, and it’s just that kind of extra care that your generous donations are going toward. Thank you for all you are doing to help Bacon have his best life at Tabby’s Place.
Now, a few personal words. This month, I’m pinch-hitting for Bacon’s usual correspondent, but in the months to come, I’ll be stepping into the role of correspondent for Bacon’s roommate, the honorable gentleman black cat Fenek.
It’ll be my privilege to help you get to know him better and keep you informed about his health and his life in general. I’ve pulled my camera out of mothballs to make sure you have some good pictures of this photogenic fellow.

There should soon be a page where you can sign up to help support him, where I’m already first in that signup line. After spending just a few hours of quality time with him, I’ve quickly learned why he’s a favorite of everyone who’s taken the time to get to know him.
More to come soon on that subject, so stay tuned. Until then, here’s a website where you can take some time to appreciate two of the finer things in life: art and cats.

Until then, wishing you all good things.
Your Correspondent,
John
