Update for Newman

Happy New Year, dear Newman adorers!

In this unpredictable world we live in, I am so glad that our wonderful Newman is very predictable – something that has held true during recent visits. He is living in the best of all places, where there is always a warm blanket, a human or two or three coming by to fuss over him, and some fine dining.

Newman is happily awaiting his special family and a new place to call home. Meanwhile, he has a new suite mate named Hobbes and is getting along with him quite well. Our marmalade guy is a temporary visitor from Seer Farms, an animal sanctuary that was hit hard by Hurricane Sandy, and for which Tabby’s Place is presently fostering three cats. For now, this sweet, handsome guy is quite comfortable in the FIV+ suite, and quite anxious to visit with everyone who walks through the door.

No news is our favorite kind of news when it comes to medical matters, and Newman is having another marvelously non-newsy month. The sweet cat who is everybody’s friend has also created no “news” around the introduction of new cats to his suite. Newman’s a lover, not a fighter, so he’s readily welcomed these new faces.

Suite FIV has nearly needed a revolving door this month. Gentle Abraham arrived and was adopted by the same family who took our Chopper three years ago. Friendly, 7-month-old Cedar came from Camden, NJ, and was adopted before even finishing his quarantine period. This made room for another newcomer, and the second female in the suite: black-and-white JuJu.

Meanwhile, Newman continues to try and steal the limelight and say me, me, me! His time will come. Until then, we will continue to love him dearly, pamper him and support him thanks to your continued generosity. We are truly grateful for all you have done and all you continue to do.

Until next month, be well, and stay warm and cozy.
