Life here at Tabby’s Place is a little quieter and calmer post-Catoberfest. Hopefully, you had a chance to come out and participate in the fun and festivities.
Our dear, sweet Newman is enjoying the lazy days
of fall out in the solarium with his buddies. Nuttin and Lester are never very far away from him.
As usual, I happened across the guys at nap time, but they didn’t mind. Newman indulged me initially and let me give him attention, but then decided he’d initiate a takeover of my lap. He is the sweetest kitty ever! He fell sound asleep in my lap and was not a particularly happy camper when it was time to say goodbye.
If there’s one thing that you can count on with Newman, it’s that he wants you to spend time with him! Be his friend! Love him! On several occasions this month, Newman conspired in subtle and not-so-subtle ways to get me to turn my attention to him. If I was sitting with Nuttin, Newman would wind himself around us, rubbing along my back, head bonking my elbows, even starting to head bonk Nuttin (until he realized that Nuttin was Nuttin and not an extension of my arms!) Another day, Edward and Newman vied for the top spot (aka my lap), and when Edward won out with an unexpected quick lurch, Newman responded by putting paws on my leg and touching my nose with his. Edward, need I say, was not pleased. But once Newman got a little kiss, he was happy enough to wait his turn.
All is quiet on the medical front for Newman this month, and that is good news!
Dear supporters, thank you for the wonderful life that you help provide for Newman. He is simply thriving while he awaits his special person.
