Update for Faye

Hello, Friends of Faye!

Someone bit Faye on the butt.

I’m going to say that again, just to give it time to sink in…

Someone. Bit. Faye. On. The. Butt.

The humiliation! The scandal! The nerve! I didn’t hear this from Faye. At the moment, she’s refusing to talk about it (can you blame her?). I did hear, though, that a volunteer noticed that Faye had – how do I put this delicately – evidence of a nibble on her next-to-the-tail area. We can’t be sure who the perpetrator was, but we have a few cranky kitties in Suite B who seem like the type who might, um, bite someone on the butt. In fact, it looks like one of the sweet-but-tart older cats, Misty, is on hold to be adopted. We don’t count on our adoptions until they are official, but if this all goes through, it will likely make for a much mellower Suite B.

As for Princess Faye (who still can’t even handle that someone bit her on the butt), she spent a bit of time getting checked out by our wonderful veterinary team, and apart from some wounded pride, it wasn’t a bad bite, so she will be totally fine. She also had a brief bout of loose stool, but her weight is holding stable, and her ears are not giving her any problems.

One of the best things about Tabby’s Place is the amazing care we are able to provide for our kitties. As you can see from this month’s update, as soon as we noticed Faye’s unfortunate “situation”, we were able to provide her with immediate and thorough medical care. We’re able to do this precisely because of the support we receive from sponsors like you!

In fact, we have a special fund – the Linda Fund – that goes towards the emergency and specialty care of our neediest cats. Our Special Needs kitties, like beautiful Faye, are especially heavy users of the Linda Fund, and as it just so happens, our annual Linda Fund Matching Challenge is currently underway. All donations will be DOUBLED throughout this challenge. If you would like more information about this wonderful event, please check out our main home page: www.tabbysplace.org.

Faye thanks you for helping us take such wonderful care of her. She’d like me to tell you that, um, “issues” aside, she’s had a lovely month, mostly spent outdoors. She adores her suite’s adjacent solarium and spends as much time sunbathing as she possibly can. She hopes you are enjoying the sunshine and wishes you happy midsummer nights’ dreams. We’ll talk again soon, friends.
