Update for Faye

Happy October, Friends of Faye!

“I’m so glad I live in a world where there are Octobers.” These words, first written by Anne of Green Gables writer, L. M. Montgomery, capture the mood of this month’s update. Faye has been enjoying good health this month and has been enjoying her days—both inside and out.

Our favorite girl remains a “Curbside Volunteer” favorite, so she has been spending many of these beautiful fall afternoons enjoying the changing of nature’s colors, watching falling leaves, and feeling the chill of autumn air blowing through her fur, as she strolls the outdoor grounds and gardens of Tabby’s Place with her doting human friends.

In fact, our kitties—and volunteers—find so much joy in these outings that one member of our Tabby’s Place family created a beautiful video montage of some of our cats, including Faye! Yes, all is bright and beautiful in the outdoor kingdom of Princess Faye.

Indoors, there have also been some exciting developments. Faye’s longtime solarium buddy, Snoop, was happily adopted at the very end of September and went off to live out his happily ever after with his wonderful forever family. We are curious to see how the dynamics in the suite will change now that new kitties are arriving. When asked how she feels about all the comings and goings, Faye inquired if there would be any changes to the arrival time of her food and whether or not there would be any additional congestion along the path to and from the solarium. It seems that providing she receives her royal noms in a timely fashion and her red carpet pathway to the solarium remains clear, Faye is blissfully uninvested in the changing social dynamic of the suite.

Faye hopes the fall breeze will blow her love throughout the land and reach you wherever you may be this month. She hopes you spend some time outside this month and allow yourself to be temporarily spirited away with the falling leaves. She also hopes you have a safe, but spooky, Halloween season, and that your month is heavy on the treats and light on the tricks. Thank you, as always, for your kindness, your empathy, and your generous support. We’ll talk again soon, friends.
