Update for Faye

Happy Spring, Friends of Faye!

April showers bring…may I have your attention, please?

If you’ve ever been to Tabby’s Place, or perhaps imagined it in your mind, you have undoubtedly conjured the image of a magical place filled to the brim with floof. And you would not be wrong. The one (unstated) rule for visitors to our little purry piece of paradise is: enter with an open heart, but try not to wear black pants. If you sit on any chair, or walk into any room for that matter, you will likely find yourself covered in cats—climbing on your lap, rubbing up against your legs, lying belly-up next to you on a couch, rushing you as you enter any door. Indeed, you will find a whole lotta cats with a whole lotta personality.

You will not, however, find Faye following in the pawsteps of her peeps.

In a room full of big personalities, Faye has done a remarkable job of finding a unique way of introducing herself. Where other cats will race up and holler for attention, Faye, well…rolls. In fact, it’s become such a trademark move, that multiple humans are now walking this earth with videos, Snapchats, and Instagrams of Faye rolling back and forth—glamorous white paws up in the air—wordlessly begging for attention.

It’s as if Faye has taken it upon herself to once again let the world know that she has never been — nor will she ever be — #basic. And if you don’t happen to catch her on a “rolling” day, just look up. Visitors of the lovely Princess Faye recently reported seeing her high up in her usual spot on the first level of the ramp in her suite, enjoying her beauty sleep while cuddling in her kitty bed. Her fur was all fluffed up, and she was clearly enjoying being the center of attention. Volunteers have learned that Faye appreciates when they put a big, soft bed up on the ramp for her to take advantage of.

And if that’s not enough pampering, Faye will also soon be scheduled for her recurring spring beauty “procedure”: sedation for a shave-down. As the warmer weather sends her springing (see what I did there?) out into her favorite space—the solarium —we want to make sure we tame her floof so no matted fur weighs her down or (heaven forbid) results in a bad fur day.

As you can see, Faye has enjoyed mellow good health this month and looks forward to more days filled with sunshine and debuting her adorable upcoming lion-look. We hope the arrival of spring has found you blossoming as well! Thank you for being one of Faye’s best friends and for April-showering her with your love and support. She sends you oodles of love until we talk again, friends.
