Update for Colleen

Dear Supporters of Colleen,

This month I learned something new about Colleen: her age. She’s officially nine years old, and she should wear her age proudly! This beautiful girl has not had an easy time of it; again this month, her antibiotics led to a bout of diarrhea. Luckily, the good folks of Tabby’s Place will be discontinuing that particular form of medication…so Colleen should return to normal (yeah!).

In addition, Colleen also had blood work done, as well as a weigh-in. Well, this trim miss weighs just over seven pounds, so one of the goals is to keep an eye on her and make sure she is eating.

Aside from her medical issues, Colleen is doing fine. She loves the Community Room, especially when the kitten population is down. She can cuddle on the comfy bench near the window, catching some sunshine. And when the kittens are everywhere, she can always escape into a box or a crate.

The other day, I walked into the Community Room and spotted the cutest gray kitten in a cage. My first thought was for Colleen — how happy she must be that there was one less kitten to be worried about. Well, his name was plastered on the side of the cage with a sign underneath. I misread his name as Rascal. (I’d soon realize that it was really Pascal.) But don’t judge me too harshly. The sign underneath read something like: This cat is not to be let out of this cage. One of the volunteers explained that Pascal was in “time out.” Poor Colleen!

Colleen also likes to hang out in the lobby, where it’s reported that she been spotted sleeping in Psi‘s crate, even while Psi is there!

Colleen and I both hope you had a lovely holiday. Thank you, as always, for your continued generosity.
