Needs special diet and medication, inappropriate elimination

If you believe the best is yet to come, we have the girl for you.

Ageless and exuberant, Betty is optimism on four fun-loving legs. She’s equally happy dreaming in a sunbeam or frolicking like a kitten. Care to cuddle? Betty’s your bestie. In the mood to play? Just try to keep up with this leaping lady. Yearning to share your secrets? This golden girl is here to listen and to love you unconditionally.

Then there’s her lovely face, nearly always smiling. Our soft snowball dressed in silver tinsel is one of the most beautiful cats who ever danced across the earth. So why is Betty still waiting for a home?

You’d never guess it, but our superstar has been dancing for over a decade. Betty was first adopted from Tabby’s Place as a kitten. She developed a habit of inappropriate elimination (urinating outside the litter box), and she was returned to us at age ten. We were happy to keep our promise of “once a Tabby’s Place cat, always a Tabby’s Place cat.” But we know Betty now faces a steep road to an adoptive home. Neither medication nor behavioral intervention (including various types of cat litter) has resolved Betty’s inappropriate elimination. It seems likely she will persist in this behavior.

It will take a wonderfully patient adopter to welcome Betty into their home. But Betty lives her life as though anything is possible, and we’re inclined to agree. Gaze into her sparkling eyes, and you’ll know it’s true: the best is yet to come!
