Update for Bacon

Update for Bacon

An ode to myself for my sponsor:

B is for Bacon – which, look:  that is me!
A is for Adorable – which you can clearly see
C is for Cuteness – a natural-born trait
O is for Overcoming – all things that aren’t great
N is for Needing – that is, support from a great person like you, who cares so much about me that you make sure Tabby’s Place can take proper care of me in the manner which I deserve

Okay, so I’m not the next poet laureate.  I am, after all, a cat.  Besides, a book tour and public speeches would really cut into my nap time.  No autographs, please.

This month, my health has been good and I can report, happily, that my spirits have been even better.  I know it has to do with the fact that the staff has been giving me more time out of my cage, especially when activities have begun.  Of course, this cuts into the time that my suitemate, Fenek, usually has.  I am able to avoid his insistent demands to be free to roam at the same time as I roam.

At this point, my years of avoiding this may be down to months.  Any such occurrences will be on my schedule, not his. The humans have been made aware. I have included a picture of me making sure the humans understand where I stand on this subject.  You are now my witness to this fact, should you be called on to verify.

I’ve been told that the weather is starting to get cooler outside.  And they tell me that we are approaching “hoody” weather, which was explained as a type of blanket with sleeves and a hood that goes over one’s head.  I really stopped caring after the word “blanket,” but I am hoping someone gives me one such hoody upon which to nap.

I am glad I am able to give you this update on how I am doing and I hope to be able to give you many, many, many, many more to come.  Thank you for choosing me to sponsor—it means a whole lot to know you care.

Love,
Bacon
