Laryngeal paralysis, hyperthyroid

What is it about big orange tabby boys that just make our hearts go wild?

Handsome Glenn was surrendered to us when his owner could no longer care for him. As an older guy, Glenn is more interested in finding a cozy spot to curl up rather than launch himself across the room in hot pursuit of toys. If you’re looking for a cat that just wants to hang out with you and get some get scritches, Glenn may be your guy! He may be on the older side, but he’s still got plenty of love and affection to share with the right family.

In terms of other cats, Glenn enjoys his personal space. While he’s certainly not one to start trouble, Glenn prefers to not share his throne with other cats. He would do best as a solo cat or with other laidback felines who will let Glenn be Glenn.

Glenn has a condition called laryngeal paralysis, wherein part of the throat (the larynx) does not open and close properly when breathing and eating. Although it is not painful for Glenn, it means that he does need some accommodations such as raised bowls to help him eat more easily. Glenn’s needs can be managed in a home and our adoption and vet teams are always willing to work with adopters to discuss each of our cats’ needs.

Glenn is looking for a special home that is ready to take on his needs. Interested in meeting Glenn? Fill out an online adoption application today!
