FeLV+

Gose (pronounced “goes-uh”) loves to climb, play, and snuggle. She’s a curious girl who is always up for a new adventure. She enjoys being pet and, as a small kitten, she loved to perch on willing shoulders. She is mostly black with a small white patch on her chest and another on her belly that distinguishes her from her sister, India.

Gose was rescued by animal control along with her two brothers (Ale and Kolsch) and two sisters (India and Lager). The brothers stood out from the rest of their litter, testing positive for feline leukemia (FeLV+). Further testing confirmed that Gose was also exposed to the virus so she headed off to a temporary foster home where she blossomed into the charming cat she is today.

Gose is a very active young girl who runs, jumps, climbs, and plays with abandon. She was excited to be reunited with her litter mates, but has always shown a curious fascination about humans. She is particularly fond of climbing so asks that you provide a tall scratching post or cat tree for her entertainment. Because of her FeLV+ status, Gose should only be housed with other FeLV+ cats, dogs, or other non-feline pets. Ideally, we’d love to see her adopted with a sibling, but she is the most independent of her litter and would do fine as an only cat.
