FeLV+

India is playful and observant. She is curious about human interaction, and comes running when you deliver food. She enjoys the safety of cubbies, corners, and tall cabinets, where she can observe new situations before jumping in with abandon. India is a black cat who has a few white whiskers and chest hairs.

India was rescued by animal control along with her two brothers (Ale and Kolsch) and two sisters (India and Gose). The brothers stood out from the rest of their litter, testing positive for feline leukemia (FeLV+). The litter was likely exposed to the virus from their mother, but because Lager and India were not testing positive for the virus, they were sent to a foster home together.

India is a playful youngster who looks to her siblings for comfort and security. She would do best in a home with a feline companion. She enjoys chasing wand toys and will eagerly engage in enticing play . Because of her FeLV+ status, India should only be housed with other FeLV+ cats, dogs, or other non-feline pets. Ideally, we’d love to see India adopted with a sibling or two.
